Personal Homefinders is an independent specialist Property Investment, Lettings and Management Agent established in 1987 based in South Hampshire.

With centrally located offices in Winchester and Chandler’s Ford (covering the Southampton area), we have a wide range of diffrerent rental properties available to suit all budgets and needs. Click here to see our current list of vacant properties.

We are NOT Estate Agents, which means that we can also offer unbiased advice on all aspects of property investment and a focused approach to management of properties in the Lettings market.

In addition, Personal Homefinders offer Home Search services to all levels of Relocators, from finding rental property, to providing area information packs and tours to finding that perfect property to purchase.

Our overall aim is to quickly match the best tenants to each property and to manage the letting cost-effectively for our landlords to maximise the return on their investment, whilst also maintaining our high professional standards and personal approach.

Background

Paul and Hilary Cole, owners of Personal Homefinders, first became involved and interested in the property market in 1986 when their daughter first went away to college. Given the choice of accommodation at that time for students, they quickly saw that the best solution was to buy a small property to rent to her and her friends, providing somewhere for her to live and study during the three years away, with the rental income paying the mortgage and running costs. Over time the equity in the property grew and provided a good financial return, allowing them to finance other investments and grow their portfolio.

Personal Homefinders was established initially as a Relocation agency, providing a service to people moving into the region who were unfamiliar with the different areas, helping them to locate suitable properties for either rental or purchase and offering them information and tours of the local areas.

With the increase in demand for rental properties, it was a natural expansion to begin to offer an investment search and advice service, using the expertise gained of the property market to locate and recommend good rental properties for investment purposes.

From this the company developed to include full lettings and property management services, to provide the total solution for the remote investor to ensure they had the full confidence that their investment was being managed effectively and efficiently to maximise their returns.

Today, more than half of the Landlords with Personal Homefinders are investment landlords and of those, 65% work or live overseas.

Personal Homefinders are selective

  • We choose our tenants as carefully as we select our properties. Each tenant fills in a detailed application form and has to provide up to three references and pass a credit check to ensure that your property will be in good hands.
  • We only accept about 75% of the houses we view to maintain our high standards. Companies and good quality tenants use Personal Homefinders because they know they can trust the quality of the properties on our lists.

  • We have our own in-house Maintenance Team with fully fitted vans to reduce expensive call out charges and ensure reliable, quality service
  • For Relocators, we offer a tailor made service to meet your needs, from area tours and information provision, to locating & negotitating for a property, to arranging removal services and liaising with utility providers.
